Bonger Company's ports of operation
Shahid Rajai Port
This port is located 23 kilometers west of Bandar Abbas, the capital of Hormozgan province.
This port, with an area of more than 2,400 hectares (operational area and backwaters), has an annual capacity to receive more than 88 million tons of goods. In 2012, this port exchanged goods with 80 ports in the world.
With 18 gantry cranes, about 40 berths, and the largest and most advanced container terminals in the country, this port has the ability to berth all types of ocean-going ships. Before the United States began sanctions against this port (in 2011), 30 shipping lines from around the world unloaded their goods at this port.
Shahid Bahonar Port
Shahid Bahonar Port is one of the multipurpose ports of Hormozgan Province and one of the active and old ports of Iran, located in the city of Bandar Abbas. This port is the third transit port of Iran and the second largest port of Hormozgan Province, which is active in the export of non-oil goods, transportation of goods and domestic and international passenger transportation.
This 50-year-old port has 12 berths and its advantages include access to open waters, proximity to the countries of the southern Persian Gulf, connection to the North-South corridor through the international road network, and a suitable inlet for mooring various types of vessels.
This port was the only main port of Bandar Abbas until the establishment of the Shahid Rajaee Port Complex. Since it is located within the city limits, it receives a large number of tourists and passengers every day, and a significant volume of Bandar Abbas' trade depends on the activities of this port.
Shahid Bahonar Port now has an annual capacity of 2.5 million tons of goods and is able to berth ships with a capacity of 40,000 tons and a draft of 11.5 meters.
This port has 12 berths, and its advantages include access to open waters, proximity to the countries south of the Persian Gulf, connection to the North-South Corridor through the international road network, and a suitable draft for berthing various types of vessels.
In 2020, Shahid Bahonar Port ranked first in agricultural product exports with a tonnage of 745,841 tons. Exports of oil products also showed a 21% increase and exports of non-oil products showed an 18% increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
In October 2016, the passenger line from Bandar Abbas to Khasab Port and the commercial line from Shahid Bahonar Port to Shinas Port in Oman were launched in the presence of a group of officials from both countries.
